Accordioning to esoteric lore, there is said to have been an ancient tonal language predating verbal speech which allowed people to communicate without using words. This mythical language of pure frequencies has sometimes been referred to as the “Language of the Birds.”
Is it just a myth? Perhaps not–the existence of languages that consist of whistled pitches seems to validate the reality of a mode of communication transcending the spoken word.
